CHICKEN PESTO PANINI
This delightful meal is a perfect choice for either lunch or dinner, ready in just under 30 minutes. Many adore the combination of pesto and chicken paired with fresh tomatoes served on Naan or flatbread as a go-to favorite option.
INGREDIENTS:
2 chicken breasts (thighs if you prefer)
4 Tbsp of Joy’s Gourmet garlic spread original (Garlic with Green olives or Sundried tomatoes will work as well)
4 Tbsp of Joy’s Gourmet Basil Pesto
large tomato sliced (1/4 inch thick)
4 pieces of Flat or Naan bread
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Begin by preparing the chicken breasts; carefully cut them in half before generously spreading Joy’s Garlic spread on each side. Proceed to cook the seasoned chicken in a skillet until perfectly done.
While the chicken is cooking, take the flatbread and spread a layer of flavorful Joy’s Gourmet Basil Pesto and Garlic.
Once the chicken is ready, place it on the flatbread along with some fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Gently fold the flatbread over the ingredients and press it lightly to hold everything in place.
Place the sandwich on a hot griddle/Panini press.
