1 Joy’s Gourmet Mediterranean Spice Mix
4 - 6 TBSP of real butter (room temperature)

Directions:
Marinades:
- Steak: Marinating the steaks in a garlic spread for 2-4 hours is a great way to infuse them with flavor. Making sure to cover the steaks with the garlic spread.
- Chicken and Vegetables: Marinating the chicken and vegetables for 2 hours will add delicious garlicky and Mediterranean Spice Mix flavors.
- Add 1 Tbsp of the Mediterranean Spice Mix to 3 Tbsp of the garlic spread and mix well. In a bag add all the chicken and the garlic and spice mixture and mix well making sure the chicken is covered well. (Marinating vegetables for too long can make them mushy) 2 hours should be perfect for most summer veggies. Set in the refrigerator and marinate for 2 hours.
- In a separate bag repeat step 2 for the vegetables.
- In a separate bowl mix the butter with 4-6 Tbsp of garlic and 1 Tbsp of the Mediterranean Spice mix well making sure it is all incorporated. Mixing butter with garlic and spice mix is a classic way to add extra flavor to grilled steaks. 4-6 tablespoons of garlic might be a strong flavor for some. You can start with 4 tablespoons and adjust to your taste.
Grilling:
- Grill the chicken and vegetables first over high heat. This will ensure they cook through quickly.
- Once the chicken and vegetables are done, set them aside and brush the grill clean. This will prevent any leftover marinade from burning and giving your steaks a bitter flavor.
- Reheat the grill to high heat again before placing the steaks.
- Brush the steaks generously with the garlic butter mixture during cooking. This will add flavor and help keep them moist.
- Temperature Tip: The safe minimum internal temperature for steaks is 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare, according to the USDA. 140°F might be a little undercooked for some preferences. - Enjoy! - With your well-marinated meats and flavorful garlic butter, this cookout is sure to be a hit. Your friends and family will love it!
