Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This extra virgin olive oil is made from the Galega olive varieties from the municipalities in the northern part of the district of Santarém in the Ribatejo region. A low-acidity olive oil, it ranges in color from golden yellow to dark green and offers a unique, mellow, sweet flavor.
Produced since the 18th century, when traditional varieties of olives were replaced with the Galega variety, this olive oil is used in a wide variety of dishes, from soups and salads to pastries and desserts. Drizzle on top of hummus and Greek yogurt. A favorite for sautéing vegetables. Fry eggs sunny side up and drench with the olive oil while they cook for an interesting twist. Enjoy the unique, delicious flavor of this oil when mixed in your salads.
